currently reading: I’m still listening to Jenn McKinlay’s Fatal First Edition. Her latest rom com comes out Tuesday, so I thought I’d keep her cozy for Monday and make it a McKinlay double play early this week. But I am loving the cozy. A murder on a train. So much fun! I’m also reading her rom com, Love at First Book. It’s a bookish romance set in Ireland, so, I mean, what’s not to love?
I’ve started a couple of other books that come out Tuesday, and apparently the theme is weddings. In Lovers and Liars, a woman with a complicated family history calls off her wedding, and I am waiting to find out why. And in You May Now Kill the Bride, a bachelorette retreat (no alcohol, no sugar, no phones) starts going wrong as soon as the women meet up and head out. I think this one s going to be so much fun! All the drama in all the best ways. I can’t wait to dig all the way in.
This weekend was a long road trip, to head to a niece’s graduation party, so it was audio book all the way there and back. We still have another hour and a half or so left, but John Scalzi’s Starter Villain is amazing! Will Wheaton narrates it perfectly, and it has been such a ride. I can’t wait to find out how it ends, because it’s been such an amazing ride so far.
up next: out May 21 is the new Ruth Ware, One Perfect Couple. I am all in for this one!
