just finished: I finished listening to One Step Too Far, the second Frankie Elkins novel from Lisa Gardner. I’m still reading the third one. I was hoping to get it done last week, but there was a sinus infection, so I took a couple days off from blogging. And then I took Saturday off from everything (except laying on the sofa watching soccer). That helped a lot.
currently reading: Still See You Everywhere, where Frankie Elkins goes to a small island near Hawaii to try to find a woman who may be trafficked by a billionaire. It’s brilliant and heartbreaking, the way Frankie likes it.
I’m also reading Cancelled, about a high school senior who was the school’s master flirter, helping her peers text with their crushes for a few bucks. But then, she is the victim of a fake video that destroys her reputation at school. This character is smart and funny, and the writing is sharp and acerbic. I’m not too far in, but I’m really looking forward to seeing where this one is going.
And I also got a taste of the new Rebecca Serle, Expiration Dates, about a woman who gets a message from the universe about how long each relationship is going to last beforehand. So she goes on a first date knowing if it’s going to last 2 hours, 2 weeks, or 2 years. But now, the paper has a name but nothing else. This is the one, and it’s time to meet him. What would you do if you knew you were about to meet your soulmate? This one is out Tuesday, so keep an eye out for it. I bet this one will be the talk of the next several months.
up next: a Goodreads giveaway win from Dell, The Rule Book from Sarah Adams. This one comes out in early April (no fooling), so watch for it at your favorite bookstore.
