what a difficult week! There came a point about halfway through that I just knew I wouldn’t be productive outside of work. It was taking too much. This weekend was all about family and holidays. But I think this week I will finally get the chance to relax and focus on what’s important again. Reading. Right?
currently reading: So close to being done! The Christmas Cookie War took a turn that I didn’t see coming, but I am really enjoying this small town romance between a widowed mom of twin boys and their school principal. Lots of fun!
I’m also still reading Believe, about Ted Lasso. And I started listening to Moorewood Family Rules, which is turning out to be lots of fun. It’s about a family of con artists and the one woman in the family who is trying to change all the rules on them. I’m really enjoying this one.
up next: I’m not sure. I have some cleanup to be doing on my lists, as well as diving into those juicy 2025 books for January. But I am excited because Henry Holt was kind enough to send me this one, Bad Nature, a dark and subversive story of a woman with a terminal illness and the desire to kill her father. It comes out April 1. I can’t wait to read it!
