just finished: on Friday, I finished reading the new Agatha Raisin mystery, Killing Time, but my brain was too tired to put words together to describe it. So I’m hoping to get it written up this week. It was so much fun, with death threats and relationship issues and even a cold crime that Aggie came up with a solution for. Loved it!

I also read the new Phoebe and Her Unicorn book, Unicorn Time Machine. I am a big fan of Phoebe and Marigold, and I love these books. They are colorful, imaginative, snarky, funny, and sweet. I wish I had a friend like Marigold, I think.

currently reading: I am listening to the audio book of Donna Andrews’s new Christmas mystery, Rockin’ Around the Chickadee. And I am loving it. It comes out Tuesday, so if you are a fan of Andrews and her character Meg Langslow, then you’ll want to keep this one on your radar. There is plenty of crazy family around, lots of Christmas cheer, and a conference for those interested in helping the innocent in prison get exonerated. Meg, as always, has her hands full, and that’s before someone is murdered behind her barn. But Meg has her notebook-that-tells-her-when-to-breathe and a full cadre of family and friends around her to help with everything.

I’m also reading Amazon’s new collection of novellas from top thriller writers. The Busybodies collection includes shorts from Jesse Q. Sutanto, Kellye Garrett, Emma Rosenblum, Nita Prose, Alicia Thompson, and Elle Cosimano (whose latest Finlay Donovan novel is available for pre-order, to be released next March). These stories are about regular citizens whose snooping puts them in the heart of an investigation. These shorts can be bought as ebooks or Audible books, and they’re all about an hour to read or listen to . I’ve read Staged by Elle Cosimano, and it’s a lot of fun. I can’t wait to dive into the rest.

up next: I think it’s about that time, the time to go full out on Christmas books. Watch for Christmas cookies, Christmas romances, Christmas sweaters, and some Christmas murder mysteries. Happy holidays!

Also up soon is this one, a gift from Forever, who sent this one to me just as I went down with Covid. So I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, but I am looking to carve out some time soon. Thank you for the bookmail!
