currently reading: I wish I’d been able to get more reading and writing done this week, but my mother has been in the hospital, so I’ve been busy and distracted. I am hoping for a quieter rest of the month with lots of down time. I could use it.

But I am still going strong with the audio books. I’m still listening to Snowed in for Christmas, about blizzard buddies who fall in love. It’s grumpy meets sunshine, with lots of cuddling to stay warm.

I’m also listening to The Woman in the Library, out last year, and really fantastic. And I’ve started listening to Alex Michaelides’s The Fury, out later this month. It’s about an actress and a couple of friends on a private island, and murder. I’m not binging it too quickly, as it’s beautifully written and calls out to be enjoyed slowly.

up next: I won this one in a Goodreads giveaway, and it looks like lots of fun, so I am hoping to carve out some time soon to start reading it. I mean, who doesn’t love an engagement party with a killer?

I also just finished my yearly re-read of Bridget Jones’s Diary (audio this year, obvi), so I’ve got Bridget J: The Edge of Reason all cued up and ready for my next bad day.
