I’m going to be dealing with a lot of family issues for the next few weeks, so I will do my best to keep up with reviews, but it will be challenging. So if I seem to be popping in and out, just stick with me. I’m doing my best.

currently reading: I’ve been working on my yearly re-read of Bridget Jones, and I’m almost done with Edge of Reason. I only have the first two on audio, so I’m either stopping there for the year or buying myself a new audio book. We’ll see how the next couple of weeks go. I may find that I’m jonesin’ for more Jones.

I’m also reading A Lady’s Guide to Selling Out, about a woman who works in advertising. It’s funny and a little odd and a little shallow and a little deep, and mostly it’s full of interesting surprises. I can’t wait to get to the end and see how it all shakes out.

And I’m so excited to talk about this next one! Out this coming Tuesday is a book called Canadian Boyfriend. I’m not too far in yet, but I am loving it so much! As a teenager, Rory worked in a coffee shop at the mall, and that’s where she very briefly met a hockey player who was in town for a game. She was attracted to him, and more than that, she realized that he was the perfect excuse for her not to take part in the high school romances that all her classmates expected. As a dancer and an A student, Rory didn’t have time to do most of that anyway. She didn’t go to Prom? Well, that was because her Canadian boyfriend couldn’t make it to town. Fast forward ten years later, and he shows up again. It has a phenomenal premise, great characters, and a flowing writing style that makes me want to sit down and spend an hour or two just hanging out in this world. Watch for it Tuesday, and enjoy!
