just finished: The Body in the Library. Wow, lots of surprises in this one. There is one character who gets particularly disturbing as the story goes on, and it wasn’t the character I expected. What a crazy book! If you love a good twisty thriller, check this one out!

currently reading: Valley Verified, which came out last Tuesday. It’s about a fashion magazine writer who gets the chance to get in on a fashion startup. She moves across the country, from the fashion world in New York she was trying to move up in to the tech world of Silicone Valley, where she knows no one and very little about startups. She has to make the decision to stick it out in tech or head back to New York, where she’s more comfortable. Will she make it work?

I’m also reading the new Emma Lord, The Getaway List. In this one, a recent high school grad didn’t make it into any of her colleges, so she has to figure out what will make her happy as she stares her future in the face. She starts with The Getaway List, a list she and her best friend started when he’d moved away 3 years before. I’m not in too far yet, but you say “Emma Lord” to me, and I’m all in. She is a fantastic writer and crafts these stories with care and exquisite character development. I am excited for more reading time this week.

up next: I won this one from a Goodreads giveaway, and I’m excited to dive in soon. There has been a lot of buzz about the book and the upcoming movie, so this one should be fun! And there’s a cat!
