currently reading: Summer Reading, Jenn McKinlay’s new rom com, out Tuesday! It’s amazing, and I can’t wait to talk about it Tuesday! A chef and a librarian. He hates to cook, and she’s dyslexic. One summer on Martha’s Vineyard brings these two characters together, and sparks fly from the first moment they met, when a frat bro almost throws up on her on the ferry. This one is full of heart and laughs and books and dancing, and it’s very friendly to readers who are neurodiverse and/or dyslexic. It’s just lovely.

I am also reading This Is the Way the World Ends, about a teenager who attends the most exclusive high school in town on scholarship. And for one night she has the chance to go to the Masquerade and be just another privileged kid in an expensive ball gown. But when the power goes out and she finds out that the wealthy people there are involved in some shady dealings, she has to figure out how to get out of the secure building safely and keep her and her friends alive.

Up next: I have the audio book for Bad Summer People. I am excited about this, as it sounds like the perfect summer book just from the title!
