currently reading: After a couple of crazy weeks, I’m trying to just have a relaxing week with good books. So I’m finally reading the new Jennifer McMahon, My Darling Girl, which has a possible demon possession. Perfect for mid-October, right? I’m also reading Friends Don’t Fall in Love, a follow-up to her Built To Last. In Built, it’s a case of child stars meeting back up years later. This one is the best friend’s return to her country music career and her producer/best friend, and it’s an adorable, fun, funny romance and I am loving every page.

I’m also reading another rom com out this week, Let’s Get Quizzical, about a couple who are both crazy about game shows and competing with each other to win. It’s also a lot of fun, and as a child who loved television game shows, I’m enjoying that part of the story.

up next: new cookbook, Make It Japanese, from BuzzFeed Tasty personality Rie McClenny. It looks beautiful, and I can’t wait to dive in. Look for it in stores October 24.
