currently reading: I’m still reading the Nora Ephron biography, and the more I learn about her, the more amazed I am by what she accomplished in her life. And I’m not even to her years directing yet. Love this one! I also started listening to the audio book of Katherine Center’s The Bodyguard. I’m not too far in, but it’s wonderful. Hannah Brooks is a bodyguard, and after some challenges in her personal life, she finds herself having to take on the protection of Hollywood star Jack Stapleton, who turns out to be just as dreamy in person as he is on screen (sorry about the use of the word “dreamy,” but it got my point across, right?). Anyway, this one promises to be lots of fun. This week is also when Paul Hollywood’s new Bake comes out, so I’ll write up my thoughts on that one.

up next: there are a lot of good cozy mysteries coming out soon, so let’s get ready to solve some murders!. There’s No Parm No Foul. the follow-up to Up To No Gouda. There’s Mint Chocolate Murder, the follow-up to The Rocky Road to Ruin. Kate Carlisle’s The Paper Caper, the 16th in her Bibliophile mysteries about bookbinder Brooklyn Wainwright comes out in late July, and early August brings us Donna Andrews’ Round Up the Usual Peacocks (which I have already started reading. Andrews is catnip to me, and I am so excited that this year she has this one coming out as well as a Christmas themed mystery with the delightful Langslow family and all their chaos). But I also won this one from Goodreads and William Morrow, and I can’t wait to see what Wanda Morris comes up with after her amazing All Her Little Secrets.
