just finished: audiobooks! I finished listening to Brad Meltzer’s The Escape Artist and Sue Grafton’s A Is for Alibi. Loved them! Tuesday, Meltzer’s follow up to The Escape Artist is out—The Lightning Rod—and if you are looking for a way to get caught up quickly, I definitely recommend that audiobook. It was a wonderful listen!

currently reading: I was hoping to get a lot of reading done this weekend, but the universe decided to gift me with a sinus infection instead. So instead of reading, I spent most of the weekend sitting on the sofa and blowing my nose. So I’m still working on The Harbor by Katrine Engberg. And I just started The Golden Couple, the newest book from the writing wonder duo of Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen, who brought us The Wife Between Us, An Anonymous Girl, and You Are Not Alone. This is about a non-traditional therapist working with a golden couple on their infidelity. I can’t wait to get deeper into that one! And I have an early audio copy of J. Kenji Lopez-Alt’s new book The Wok. His Food Lab is fantastic, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s been up to since then. And Christina Tosi has a new book out this week, and it has the best title. Dessert Can Save the World. Amen! I can’t wait to dig into this one too!

up next: for now, I’m just trying to get through the week and keep breathing and healing, but next month, I get to dive into another homage to Pride and Prejudice, thanks to Scholastic Press. Looking forward to what Debating Darcy will be!
