currently reading: I didn’t get as much reading done last week as I’d hoped, between Halloween, work issues, and a family health crisis. But I still have leftover Halloween candy, and work things are . . . whatever, and the family member in question is doing much better. So I’m still listening to The Holiday Trap, and I’m still reading No Strangers Here (although I am hoping to finish that one for tomorrow). I only have two books that are getting released this week, so I have a minute to catch up on books that have come out recently.

Tuesday, if you’re a historical rom com, Bridgerton type fan, watch for this week’s Never Rescue a Rogue, Virginia Heath’s follow-up to Never Fall for Your Fiancee. I have not read the first one yet, but I did buy it, so it is sitting there waiting for me. But that won’t stop me from jumping into the new book, because who doesn’t love a rogue?

But up for next week is this beauty, surprise bookmail from Celadon Books, and I am so excited about it! I have been watching Only Murders in the Building, so he’s been in my thoughts. I still remember sitting in the movie theater in college, watching L.A. Story weekend after weekend, absolutely bewitched by it. I’ve seen him in movies, read many of his books, and even saw him in person several years ago when he was touring with Martin Short. I can’t wait to dig into this one and see yet anther facet of this man. It comes out on November 15, so watch for it.
