currently reading: I’ve got a few books going. I am reading A Cat Café Christmas, a cute rom com with lots of cats and a surprising amount of plumbing. It’s sweet, and I’m enjoying these characters. More about that tomorrow. I’m also listening to a book I read a few years back, How the Finch Stole Christmas. I have long been a fan of Donna Andrews and her Meg Langslow mysteries, but this is the first time I’ve listened to one on audio. I saw a deal on Chirp, so I grabbed it (along with a few others of hers), and I’m enjoying revisiting this one. I’ve also started on a book that comes out Tuesday that I hope to talk about later this week. None of This Would Have Happened if Prince Were Alive is a debut novel, and it’s getting compared to Maria Semple and Allison Pearson. It’s about a wife and mother in Savannah, Georgia, who works for tech bros and isn’t sure whether to evacuate or not with the hurricane that seems to be blowing their way. Then she finds out her husband has cheating on her and everything seems to fall apart around her. But in funny ways. I’m only a chapter or so in, but this one is out on Tuesday, and you’ll want to add it to your wish list or library hold list or your holiday gift list, or whatever works for you. It will be lots of fun.

Up next: I have a lot of good books to catch up on from 2022, so I will be working on a lot of those over the next several weeks. Get your Christmas lists ready, in case you missed them too. And until then, happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have lots of laughs, lots of love, lots to eat, and lots to read!
