currently reading: I’m still listening to The Secret Bridesmaid. I’m most of the way through, so I’ll probably get to the end tomorrow, and I can’t wait to see how it ends. I am loving this book! I’m also reading Catherine Steadman’s new book, which comes out Tuesday. It’s about a woman, a novelist with one stunning bestseller, marries into a family with the kind of generational wealth that most of us can’t even begin to wrap our heads around. (Actually, she can’t wrap her head around it either.) The book opens with her bleeding on the floor, so I’m not sure that it ends well for her, but we’ve cycled back to the early days of the relationship, and I am looking forward to getting the whole story. I’ve read all of her books, back to her first, and Steadman just keeps getting better and better.
up next: Big news! Out this Tuesday is Madly, Deeply: The Diaries of Alan Rickman. I wasn’t able to score an early copy, but I have preordered it on Audible, so I can start listening to it when it drops on Tuesday. I love Alan Rickman, and I can’t wait to listen to this book. I read an excerpt already, and it was brutal. This book is honest and biting and smart and funny and as human as possible, just like the man himself. Can’t wait!
