just finished: nothing again. Maybe I should just delete this one, lol. It seems like I don’t read ahead as much as I’d like . . .

currently reading: I’m having a rom com week. Out this week is Love & Other Disasters, about a romance between a recently divorced woman and a non-binary. It starts with a bang, and I can’t wait to read more. Also out Tuesday is How to Love Your Neighbor, a fun fix-it romance. And Lauren Layne is back with Made in Manhattan, a gender switched My Fair Lady, where a privileged Manhattanite is asked by her beloved grandmother to work with a newly-discovered grandson who just moved to the city from Louisiana. I have a feeling they’ll both find they have a lot to learn. And out this week is the fifth (and sadly, final) book in the Jessica Darling series. I scored an early copy of the audio, and I am loving it. And I’m still dipping in and out of Bridget. Mad about the Boy is the latest (I don’t want to say “last” and jinx any more books forthcoming) in the Bridget Jones series, and it’s sad because Mark Darcy dies and after I finish reading it, I will have no more Bridget Jones books to read. I’m not sure I’m ready to let go yet. So I’m taking my time with this one.

up next: cozies are coming! Out January 25 is the newest from Vivien Chien, Hot and Sour Suspects. There is also Up to No Gouda (a cheese shop mystery! I love cheese! and cheesy cozy titles!) and Murder at a Scottish Social. There is a lot of good reading coming up!

So, for the photo, I haven’t gotten any new physical books lately, but last weekend my adorable ginger cat celebrated his 5th birthday. He got to lick a little frosting off his cake, and he got some new ribbons to play with. A fun time was had by all!
