just finished: nothing. I was hoping to get some books finished this weekend, but my brain did not want to focus. I did some reading, but I didn’t get anything finished.

currently reading: Chandler Baker, author of last year’s Whisper Network, is back with a book about women living in a gated community and figuring out how to get the men to true partners in their households. Lawyer Nora Spangler is thinking about buying a house there while also representing a woman in the wrongful death of her husband in their house fire. It’s lots of fun. And out Tuesday is Sister-in-Law, Pamela Crane’s latest domestic thriller about a woman, her brother, and her sister-in-law. I’m not too far in yet, but the claws are already coming out between these women. This should be fun!

up next: Well, HarperCollins was kind enough to send me a copy of this fun book of dangerous tales, out in September. But first, it’s the new Lianne Moriarty, Apples Never Fall, which Macmillan Audio was kind enough to give me a copy of early.
