just finished: nothing. I read some this weekend, but I didn’t get anything finished.

currently reading: Family Plot, which is out Tuesday. It is crazy. It’s about a family obsessed with true crime, and the four kids were homeschooled, with lots of their education being crime centered. They all get to leave home at 18, with some money, so they can make their way in the world. Charlie, the oldest, left first to go to New York City and be an actor. Tate followed him, as she often did, and became an Instagram influencer. Dahlia and Andy were the youngest, twins, but Dahlia didn’t leave home until she was 19. Andy left when he was only 16, so Dahlia stayed as long as she could in case he came back. Now she’s 26, and she’s heading back home with the rest of her siblings because their father died. But when they go to bury him, they find someone else buried there already. It’s Andy, who didn’t run away after all. I’m not very far into the story yet, but clearly this is an unusual family. I can’t wait to see where this one goes. I’m also reading Fan Fiction, a “Mem-noir” from Star Trek: The Next Generation’s Brent Spiner. This one isn’t out until early October, but if you’re a fan of TNG, you want to put this at the top of your list of upcoming books, as it’s spectacular so far! Or if you’re an audio book fan, keep this in mind, because I believe he reads it himself. I may have to buy that when it’s time, because this book is hilarious!

up next: remember Lola, from Lola’s Super Club? Well, book 2 is out this week, so I’m heading back for another graphic novel with Lola and all her super friends (I’m counting on more of James the dinosaur!). I believe there will be much fun!
