just finished: nothing new. I spent the weekend in the kitchen, baking and cooking.

currently reading: Still reading The Rehearsals. It’s a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to get to the end so I can talk about it. I have just started the new Sara Shepherd, Safe in My Arms, which comes out Tuesday. It’s about the moms and the principal at an elite preschool, so you know it’s going to be filled with delicious secrets and lies, and I can not wait to read it! I’ve also been reading Kate Clayborn’s Love at First, an enemies to lovers story which is filled with the same sweetness and charm of her Love Lettering. And I’ve just started listening to B.A. Paris’s latest The Therapist. Just listening to it, I can feel my shoulders getting tense, and I adore narrator Olivia Dowd, so this will be a really good listen.

up next: I’m not sure exactly, but we do need to have a talk about upcoming Tuesday August 3. There are so many books, really good books, getting released that week. For those last days of summer at the pool, for the late vacation before school, or maybe for those quiet days once the kids go back (finally back in classrooms again!), whatever motivates your August reading, this release list will make your head spin. Be sure to head to your favorite indie bookstore after the third and add a bunch of new books to your night stand.
