just finished: Yoga Pant Nation. Loved it! Laurie Gelman brings another fun year of class mom Jen Dixon’s year to a close, and this year was just as much as fun as the last 2 (Class Mom, You’ve Been Volunteered) have been!

currently reading: Still reading Suburban Dicks. Still loving it. Last week just turned into a week of drama, so I didn’t get as much time to read as I’d hoped. My boss went down with bronchitis, and my coworker got a nasty summer cold, so I had to focus more on work that I’d expected to. But the work stress will be going back down for a couple of months, so I can focus on getting caught up on some good books. I’ve also been listening to Second Helpings, the next in the Jessica Darling series from Megan McCafferty. She’s a senior now but filled with just as much snark as she was before. I am loving this series, and I’m so happy that Wednesday Books has updated it with new covers and new energy. I’m also reading Nobody, Somebody, Anybody, a debut novel from Kelly McClorey with all the dark humor of Ottessa Moshfegh. It’s about an EMT working as a chambermaid and her lessons on cleaning and sanitizing have seriously gone to her head. It’s weird but fun.

up next: B.A. Paris’s new novel The Therapist is out Tuesday, and Macmillan was kind enough to grant me an early audiobook. I’ll be listening to that and seeing what Paris is up to this time. Also, Abrams sent me an early copy of Bullet Train, already headed to the big screen, so you’ll want to watch for the book to come out the first Tuesday of August.
