just finished: I finished Christopher Buckley’s Make Russia Great Again, which was very funny, except for those moments that hit a little too close to reality. I really liked this book, but I think would have enjoyed it more had I read it in about ten years. I also just finished The Mall, which comes out later this month. I absolutely loved this book! It’s about a teen girl in the early ‘90s, working at a mall in New Jersey the summer before she goes to college. She’s just gotten over mono, her boyfriend dumped her, and she needs to come up with a whole new plan for her future. It’s so amazing! If you were a late ‘80s or an early ‘90s kid who hung out at the mall, this book is a must read! It’s phenomenally funny!

currently reading: A Sweet Mess, the romcom about a baker and a food critic. It’s still adorable! And I just started a cozy mystery about a genealogist in Austin. She’s been hired to research ancestors by the daughter taking over the family chain of luxury hotels. This isn’t going to end well for someone, and I can’t wait to see how it all comes together.

up next: There is a lot of great books coming out at the end of the month, including the next Isabel Dalhousie book from Alexander McCall Smith, The Wife Who Knew Too Much by Michele Campbell (loved her It’s Always the Husband!), Playing Nice by JP Delaney (loved her The Girl Before!), His & Hers by Alice Feeney (loved her Sometimes I Lie!), and A Star Is Bored, which just sounds like so much fun! Warm up my sofa! I’ve got a lot of reading to do!
