just finished: Two Truths and a Lie, about a group of women with sixth-grade girls and how their relationships intertwine in gossip, light judgment, passive aggression, and resentment in a small New England town. It reminded me a lot of Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies, which I adored when I read it. I really liked this one too. It doesn’t hit bookshelves until mid June, but keep it in mind for a good summer read.

currently reading: I just started Beach Read, about a woman who moves into her father’s other house, to learn about his other life with the other woman, the one she and her mother knew nothing about until a sudden stroke took him away. I’m barely into the first chapter on this one, but I hear lots of good things. I’m also reading Tiny Imperfections, about women trying to get their kids into an exclusive preschool. Should be lots of back-stabbing, social-climbing, bitchy mom fun!

up next: oh, I don’t know. I’m not feeling very decisive today. It’s summer. I’ll just grab something and go.
