just finished: You Are Not Alone, which was amazing! But it doesn’t come out until March, so that’s all I’m going to say for now. But there’s another book I want to talk about. I didn’t “just” finish it—I actually read it last year. But I’ve been biting my tongue on it for a long time, and this week I finally get to talk about it! Been There, Married That is coming out Tuesday, and I am so excited about it! I adored this book about a messy Hollywood divorce, and when better to read it than the week after watching the Hollywood craziness that is the Oscars? This funny novel is written by a true insider, Gigi Levangie, the woman who wrote The Starter Wife, among other novels and screenplays, and who was married to super-producer Brian Grazer. I’m sure much of this novel was exaggerated for effect, but it’s an effect that works! Loved it, loved it, loved it! More on Tuesday . . .
currently reading: I am still working on Saint X, which comes out the 18th. It’s a thriller about a young woman killed on a family vacation, but it goes so much deeper. It’s hard to rush with this one. I’m also still chugging away on The Janes, which I love, but which is also a difficult read. And then I’m still listening to In the Woods, from Tana French’s Dublin Murder Squad series, which is, um, also a little difficult. I think I’m going to have to find myself some lighter reads next! But these are such good books, it’s hard to complain!
up next: Penguin Random House is kind enough to allow me to be a part of their Potter/Ten Speed Ambassador Program, which means they send me some of their upcoming cookbooks for free and let me rave about them online. They sent me 2 to start off the year, and they are gorgeous! The first one is Baking Gold, and it’s about using a handful of master recipes to conquer the baking world. Love that! The second one is See You on Sunday, which is about sharing cooking with family and friends. I can’t wait to do a deep dive on these!
