just finished: I finally finished Tana French’s In the Woods! It’s really long, especially when you’re only listening in your car and only have a 15-minute commute, lol. But it was amazing! So worth the time!

currently reading: Oona Out of Order. It is amazing! Oona is a regular kid growing up, becoming an adult, all that, until her 20th birthday. Her birthday is New Year’s Day, and on midnight of her 19th year, she jumps in time. From that point on, she leaps every year at midnight on New Year’s Eve, living her regular life, just out of order. One minute she’s 19, the next she’s 51. She lives a year and then leaps again. This is such an innovative idea, and Oona is such a wonderful character that I am loving this book! Be sure to keep it in mind later this month. It comes out the 25th.

up next: There are a couple of cozies I’ve been looking forward to. First, Murder in an Irish Cottage by Carlene O’Connor. I love this series, or really any mystery series set in Ireland (see above, In the Woods). And Egg Drop Dead, the next in Vivien Chien’s Noodle Shop Mystery series. And there is a new book coming out about the Elisa Lam, the student who went missing from L.A.’s Cecil Hotel under mysterious circumstances. I found out yesterday that my boyfriend actually donated to the Kickstarter campaign for this one, called Gone at Midnight, so he’s looking forward to reading it too. And after spending so long with the Dublin Murder Squad, I need some short audio books for my car trips for a but. I’m not sure what they’ll be yet, but they’ll only be 3-4 hours long for the rest of the month. But at some point I’ll head back to Ireland for The Likeness, more about Cassie Maddox, who I completely fell in love with in Murder Squad 1.
