First, a note. I’m taking next week off for Christmas and familyness and just to relax and catch my breath. I will have posts all week. I’ve been looking back at all the books I read in 2019 (154 so far!), and I’m reposting the blogs for my 5 favorite books: novel, non-fiction, audio book, kids/ya book, and cookbook. Come back and check to see what made my top five for the year!
recently finished: nothing. Another one of those weeks.
currently reading: so close to being done with A Time of Love and Tartan. I should finish that this week. And I’m going back to catch up on novels I’ve abandoned halfway through earlier this year, to finish them off. Karen Cleveland’s Keep You Close, Campusland by Scott Johnston, Famous People by Justin Kuritzkes, among others. They’re not bad books—quite the opposite—they just got lost in among the shiny new ones. I also just started Love Lettering, which looks like a lovely romance to end the year on (it comes out 12/31).
up next: all the books for 2020! Happy New Book Year!
I would like to take a moment to thank you for reading this and to wish you all a very happy holiday season with lots of laughter, love, cake, and (of course) books!
