recently finished: Saul Black’s Anything for You, an intense thriller with some badass female characters. That is no lightweight cozy kind of mystery, but it was worth the ride. I also finished Twenty-One Truths about Love, a sweet and funny novel of one man’s insecurity in his relationship and what he decides to do about that. It’s told in lists that he compulsively writes, so you get a constant idea of his anxiety, his ideas for solutions, and for how he feels about everything swirling around him in his life. A quick read, but very moving.

currently reading: I’m about halfway through the new Agatha Raisin, coming out next week, Beating about the Bush. There is an engagement, potential industrial espionage, a cast of strange and interesting characters, and a donkey accused of murder (but of course Wizz-Wazz didn’t do it! Wizz-Wazz is innocent!). A perfect bit of fun for the holiday season! I also just started Trace of Evil, a police thriller set in a small town with a history of witchcraft. I can already tell it will be amazing!

up next: Adorkable, a teen romcom with a truly adorable name. And some audiobooks with roots in my childhood. One of the all-time best books for kids, From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, and a true holiday classic, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Just for fun!
