snapshot 5.6

just finished: Nothing. I was going to get a lot of reading done today, but then I realized I really needed a day off. Between work drama and allergies, the last week or two have been more difficult than I anticipated. So I got stuff done around the house and relaxed. Much needed.

currently reading: Still reading Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney, which is amazing. And Zach Schonbrun's The Perfrormance Cortex. After reading the Masters of Modern Soccer, it will be nice to get a deeper look at master athletes in other sports and see what makes them so good at what they do. I also just started Bella Figura by Kamin Mohammadi. It's a memoir of a woman's year in Tuscany, learning to live and eat Italian and healing from a toxic work environment. I love anything about Italy, so I'm looking forward to reading more!

up next: My Ex-Life by Stephen McCauley. It's a look at second chances, at those big life choices that come with extended consequences, some even decades later. It's supposed to be touching and funny, so I'm definitely in. Look for it in stores Tuesday! I'll let you know what I think when I get the chance.
