Recently finished: I recently finished a charming mystery set in the British countryside in the early 1900s. I'm not a big reader of historical fiction, but T.E. Kinsey's A Quiet Life in the Country was fun and playful, with a nod to P.G. Wodehouse. I enjoyed it immensely, and I can't want to get into his next one, In the Market for Murder, which came out last month.
Currently reading: Still working on Everything You Want Me To Be. It's good, but it's sad too. And I've been reading Katherine Reay's A Portrait of Emily Price. I recently finished Dear Mr. Knightley, her first novel, and it was very moving. And then there's Four of the Three Musketeers, about the Marx Brothers. It is so interesting! I am loving that.
Up next: I got a book about hygge, the Danish idea of comfort that's been all the rage lately, so I'm looking forward to diving into that. I received a copy of Eric Ripert's 32 Yolks on audio, so I can't wait to hear his memoir. And I got an advanced copy of another thriller, Behind Her Eyes, that's supposed to be a big hit when it comes out later this month. I am a lucky reader! So many good books!
