Recently finished: Just what's been on the blog as well as one for a postal book club that I can't divulge for a year, just in case one of the members happens to see this and finds out in advance what book is coming their way. (What is a postal book club? A group of people each choose a book to read, and that book and a corresponding notebook gets sent to each member of the group in turn. Ours is for books that have been made into movies, so I'm really looking forward to the books I get to read all year!)
Currently reading: Morte, about a cat assassin (he's a cat and an assassin, not an assassin of cats) who was separated from his best friend by the war. White Lead, about an art conservator, which is phenomenal so far. And a comedic horror novel called The Exorcism of Little Billy Flynn, which is (not surprisingly) odd, but really well written. More about these and a couple of other titles this week.
Up next: Trying to finish several titles I've been chipping away at for awhile, including David Simon's Homicide and memoirs by Carrie Fisher and Clinton Kelly.
