Recently finished: I finally finished Dear Mr. M. I lost some momentum there in the middle (still trying to figure out if it was me or the book--I'm thinking me), but I stuck it out, and I am so glad I did. The ending is fantastic! I will be talking more about this tomorrow.

Currently reading: Generation Chef, by Karen Stabiner. My mother suggested T.E. Kinsey's A Quiet Life in the Country, which is funny and charming. And I got early access to a new memoir by The Chew's Clinton Kelly (it's scheduled to be out in January), and his story of going to Action Park, a water part that opened not too far from him when he was a kid, was about the only thing keeping me going on Friday. I can't wait to read the rest!

Up Next: Thanksgiving week's dysfunctional family novels. A new novel by Marcia Clark. And a new memoir by Madeleine L'Engle. So many things to be thankful for!

dear mr. koch: please write me more novels!

I need a vacation: (skip the) movie edition
