Years ago, I took a trip to England with a friend. She wanted to visit Bath, but I didn’t see the draw. Once we got there, it seemed to me that there were tokens of Jane Austen everywhere we went. I found it enchanting. I came back home and took a deep dive into her books, and I understood the magic of the woman and her words. Seeing this blanket reminded of the warmth of her characters (well, maybe not all of them) and the charm of the world of Austen.

This blanket is decadently soft, making me long for cooler months where I could snuggle under it with Pride and Prejudice (the book or the movie) and a nice cup of tea. The blanket is filled with postage stamp art of things that bring to mind Austen, her life, and her works. There are a pen and paper, silhouettes of men and women who could be seen as her characters, and a cup of tea. There are butterflies and flowers, reminiscent of how much time her characters love nature, and bows and fans, bringing to mind the London balls during the season.

I love this beautiful blanket. It’s so soft and luxurious, and it reminds me of happy times reading Jane Austen and letting her characters take over my imagination. This would be a perfect gift for Austen fans and those who love Regency era romances.
