fancy cake pan
I thought this would make beautiful small cakes, and it does. To test it out the first time, I went with a simple yellow cake mix and tried it out. I was concerned that I would have some trouble getting the cakes out. I know that some cakes that have an intricate pattern can be hard to get out of the pan, so I made sure to use a liberal amount of baking spray (the kind that has the flour in it). I baked my cakes and let them cool for the recommended ten minutes and then tried to get them out.
In order to successfully get the cakes out of the pan, I flipped the pain over. That was all it took. All of the cakes came right out, no resistance. They literally fell out. I put a couple of them back in the pan to take a photo, to show what that looked like, but I had no issues at all. The pan made beautiful cakes, beautifully decorative, and the perfect size for one or two servings. I’ll have to try an angel food cake next, because these would look gorgeous with the berries and whipped cream for a summer strawberry shortcake.
This pan could be used to make a variety of desserts, I’m sure, but I am a cake person, so that’s where my thoughts go. For me, this makes beautiful individual cakes, like sophisticated cupcakes, that I can use to impress friends and family. And the possibilities are as endless as my sweet tooth’s imagination.
