red cake pans

I am not a fancy baker. I like to bake things that taste good, and I don’t worry so much about how they look. I thought these cakes (I got the 4 inch) would be perfect for smaller snacking cakes that I could throw together at the end of the work day. I figured the size of one of them would be good for a couple of days. I know fancy bakers would probably use the cakes this size as top layers on a giant cake, but I just wanted snaking cakes. And I was right. The size is perfect for me.

I used a cake mix to make four cakes, and while that meant the cake pans were a little overfull, the cakes are still delicious. It will take me some experimenting to make them come out as beautifully as the photo. But I thought these pans were a dream to use. With the included parchment paper cut with long strips to make it easy to pull up, I had no problem getting the cakes out of the pans. And they cleaned up in no time. I love the size of the finished cake, and I look forward to using these pans over and over.
