weekly/monthly planner
I am a perfectionist and a book reviewer, and my ADHD brains struggles to remember when all the things are due. I have work deadlines, things I need to do around the house, doctor’s appointments for me, my boyfriend, my mother, and his mother. It’s possible I have bought planners in the past and not kept up with them. And the biggest problem with that is that have all been year-specific, so if I miss a week or a month, then those pages are just wasted.
I was excited to see that this planner is not tied to any specific month or year. I could use it for one month this year (especially since the year is almost done), and then pick it up again next year, and I won’t be wasting pages. I can pick it up again at any time, and go from there. Not that I’m thinking I’ll do that again (I totally will), but just in case (when that happens), I can just pick it up and start where I left off, no pages wasted.
Another thing I really like about this planner is that it is goal-oriented. The very first page asks you to list your 5 top goals for the year. Then there are the monthly calendars, with a place for your monthly goals. And then there are the weekly calendars, which provide even more help with your goals. There is a place to add your focus for the week, your priorities, and even a tracker for the habits you are wanting to reinforce.
The back of the book has several dotted pages for adding more notes and a small folder to stash papers, receipts, or inspiration. And there is an elastic band to either hold the book closed or mark your place as well as a pen holder.
I think this will be very helpful in keeping me more organized in upcoming year. I can use it to help track my reading and keep deadlines in mind. I can add my work deadlines, so I can have an easy way to see which weeks will be most stressful, and I can make plans for lazy days off to help recover from the crazy busy days. I can make the lists I love and use the tracker that’s already created for me, and I can feel good about moving forward with less chaos in my head and in my life.
