1. I finally got a chance to watch the last episode of The Amazing Race. I wasn’t too sure about this season early on, as it was all people who had competed on Big Brother, which I don’t watch. And they were just in Europe, which I thought could be great or it could be repetitive. But it turns out that I loved it. I got invested in the teams, and I do love Europe. It was a fun season to watch. I was a little disappointed in the winners, because they were a team who won often throughout the season, and I’m always happier to see someone different win the ending. But I thought all 3 of the final teams were deserving, and it seemed like they all really appreciated the experience.

2, We are also currently watching the final episode of the Tournament of Champions, Christmas edition. This has been a lot of fun to watch. I know who wins because: internet. But this has been a great way to see chefs I’m not as familiar with, and I love the added pastry element. Like the Next Level Baker version of Next Level Chef. We got to see the ending of that one live, and I was glad to see another interesting, high-level baking championship. And any show with Carla Hall is a big hit, so there’s that. More like these, please.

3. I’ve been trying to go slower these last couple of weeks, trying to get more sleep and watch more television. It’s been good for me. At some point, this year got a little out of control. Work got too stressful, health declined too much, too much sleep got lost. Next year I definitely need to work on balance. But for now, I am happy to be able to step back a little and relax.
