1. Audio books. When my eyes get tired but I want my stories, I can switch over to an audio book, and have professional readers tell me a story. And lately I’ve been seeing a lot of great sales, so my phone is packed with books, and I am all ears.

2. There’s a new season of Michael Symon’s BBQ USA coming, and I am excited. Symon goes around to different barbecue competitions and talks to the chefs as they cook, submit their entries, and get the results of the judging. I loved the first season, but this time he’s heading to our local big barbecue competition, and I mean BIG barbecue competition, the American Royal. I am really looking forward to that episode.

3. Last week was rough, and this coming week is filled with doctor’s appointments and friends in from out of town. So this was a nice, relaxing weekend filled with GBBO reruns (Giuseppe all day! And while Jurgen didn’t win, still loved him and am so excited to have an early copy of his cookbook, out the end of August!), kitten snuggles, and homemade chicken pot pie.
