1. Three days off. It’s not quite as exciting as it sounds, because the second day I will have oral surgery, but I have one whole day with no agenda except sleeping in and reading. And then I have the surgery and an extra day to rest and recover. I thought about taking the entire week, but Friday is the last day for my favorite coworker, and I want to be there for that.
2. My co-proofreader Monica, who is leaving for bigger and better things (specifically, twin girls getting added to their family). She started the job the week before the world shut down for Covid, so she was sent home almost immediately for a month’s furlough before coming back, learning the job while juggling two boys home-schooling. Her husband works from home, which helped, but she figured out a way to maximize her time at home helping and still helping me with the proofreading. She has been such a gift these last couple of years, and I will miss her so much. But I also am so happy that she is getting the baby girls she wanted and is starting a new journey. I wish her all the best with everything, always. Thank you for everything, Monica! You are the best proofreader I know!
3. Catness cuteness. Not sure what he saw out back that caught his eye, but it stopped him from playing with the Bernie Sanders bobblehead and stared out the back door. And I get three bonus Caturdays this week!
