1. I finally got around to watching Crazy Rich Asians. I really liked it. I might upset people by saying this, but it’s a pretty typical romantic comedy. But it was also well written, filled with lots of humor and spectacle, and it was perfectly cast. Lots of fun!
2. So I’m a puzzle nerd. Jigsaw puzzles, puzzle games, all of that sort of thing I love. Every once in a while, I’ll pick up one of those Variety Puzzle magazines you find in stories, but I really only enjoy maybe half of the game types and only love 1 or 2. But one of my favorites is Places, Please, and Penny Press does offer books with only those puzzles in them. I pulled one of those out earlier, and it’s so mice to work on only my favorite kind of puzzle for a while. No phone, no tablet, just my favorite kind of puzzle book and a pen. Aaaaaaaah. Relaxation!
3. After a week where the virus numbers are rising uncontrollably (and by uncontrollably, I mean that I can’t control it; other people might be able to with smarter choices), I kinda flopped this weekend. Add in a potential sinus infection, and I’ve been mostly down for the count. But after years of dealing with anxiety, I was able to calm some of the craziness that my brain’s been wanting to roll around in all week and just set aside all the things I was wanting to get done this week and just breathe. And watch some Newsradio reruns. Always helps! A quiet Saturday with no agenda is good for the soul.
