Well, here we are again. I’m trying, I promise. But I’m also trying to be easier on myself, as I tend to judge myself too harshly. Anyway, it’s going to be a busy week at work, but I am working on a couple of specific books for this week.

Don’t Cross Mo Ellery. Mo lost her job and her boyfriend in one day, and their condo was basically his, so she also had to move back in with her parents. She finally gets a job as a crossing guard, and that’s when she sees a car accident. Only the woman who lives nearby saw the whole thing and thinks it’s murder. And she wants Mo to help her prove it. So Mo is tasked with solving a murder while taking care of the victim’s three French poodles, and it’s a lot. This book is a lot of fun. Mo is smart, spirited, and snarky, and I am enjoying this book so much.

Out Tuesday is Keeping Score, a soccer romance. She is working in the front office, he’s on the pitch. The team has just had a change of leadership, as the former bosses cheated the finances. Now Michelle is trying to clean up their mess and save the team’s reputation. Tristan is the team goalkeeper and wants to support Michelle in her efforts. There is chemistry, there is banter, there is soccer. That’s pretty all I need for a good book. I am loving this one too. Plus, and I hope I’m not giving too much away here when I say this, but when Tristan gets stressed, he binges episodes of the Great British Bake-Off. He may be my ideal book boyfriend. This one is out Tuesday. Enjoy!
