I wrote 2 reviews last week, so clearly I am still struggling. I’m not making any promises for this week, but I’ll do my best.

currently reading: Book Club Boyfriend. It’s about a women, an actress and producer, who has her own national book club. She asked a literary author to feature his book in her book club, and he turned her down. When they talk months later, he’s struggling with his second book, and she’s struggling with her anxiety. She invites him to her place in L.A., to live in the pool house, to see if that inspires him to write. He agrees, but once he gets there, he feels like it’s a terrible idea and is about to go back home. Only, he is able to write in L.A. far better than he could in Minnesota, so he decides to stay for a while. It’s a sweet romance, developing slowly. I’m almost halfway through, and I am enjoying this gentle story.

I’m also listening to Savvy Summers and the Sweet Potato Crimes, a cozy mystery that came out last year. Her second book in this series, Savvy Summers and the Po’Boy Perils comes out Tuesday. I am hoping to review both this week. So far, it’s a lot of fun. Savvy has a lot of personality, and she puts it all in her Southern cooking. This one has been especially fun to listen to!

up next: lol like I know. I am a mess right now. Just keep reading, is what I’m trying to accomplish. Just keep reading.
