Last week did not go my way. Things are a little crazy at work right now, so by the time I got home at night, I could barely put words together. I’m hoping to use the extra day off this weekend to get ahead for the week.
just finished: The Best Little Motel in Texas. I had so much fun with this one. A murder mystery set in a motel that is a cathouse, with a bunch of elderly sex workers and a reluctant madam. It’s hilarious.
currently reading: Dolly All the Time. New Annabel Monaghan! This one comes out Tuesday, and I’m thinking that it’s going to be her usual fantastic read, especially since GMA has already chosen it for their book club. Dolly is pushing herself to take care of everyone in her life, from her teenaged son to her father to her developmentally disabled brother. Honestly, she is a little exhausting so far. But romance is brewing, and I can’t wait to see where it leads.
up next: Paul Rudnick, another favorite author of mine, also has a book out this week. The Tuxedo Society is about a group of gay spies who are taking the world by storm and looking dapper as they do. Watch for it in stores, because it’s going to be hilarious!
