I keep saying I need to finish some books and get some things to cleaned up. So ya, I’m still there. But I’m maybe getting closer?
currently reading: you know, all the same things. But also Reality Bites, about a scientist who goes on to a reality dating show. All her family members are social media influencers, and she is trying to save frogs. Her mother signs her up for Love Shack, a Love Island type show, and she gets chosen. She only agrees because of the winning amount. It could be enough to save her lab, which is losing funding. She is clearly in over her head, and it’s so much fun. I love these romance novels about dating shows. This is perfect summer reading right here.
up next: new Rachel Linden! If you loved her The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie or Recipe for a Charmed Life, then you should know A Sprinkle of Sweet Serendipity comes out Tuesday. A chocolatier is touched by magic to try to decide on her future. I think this one just might make me hungry. I will have chocolates at the ready.
I got this beauty from GP Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers through a Goodreads giveaway. It really looks better than this. For some reason, the photo was really washed out, but it’s lovely. Watch for it in early June. It’s sisters. It’s a thriller. There are secrets. Hello, summer reading. Let’s get those pools open! (Although I’m probably going to read it on my sofa, in the air conditioning. But still, go summer!)
