well, last week didn’t go to plan. There were several nights where big storms blew through, and I was so distracted watching the weatherpersons tracking the tornadoes that I didn’t get anything written. I am hoping to do better this week, since I do have several books to write about.
just finished: Is This a Cry for Help?, about a librarian who is just coming back to work after a breakdown. She goes back to the library just as it gets targeted by a far right journalist who is pointing out the computer policy, complaining about the drag queens reading to the kids, and wanting to ban books. She has to find a way to continue her own healing while keeping the library a safe place for everyone. This book is absolutely charming. I will try to do it justice.
currently reading: Murder Mindfully. This one I’m listening to on audio, and it’s phenomenal. A lawyer is struggling in his marriage, so he goes to a mindfulness coach. And this information comes in handy when he decides to turn to murder to get himself out of a sticky situation with his client. This one is lots of fun!
I’m also reading Save the Date, about a destination wedding that is out of control. In this one, the bride seems like she has a pretty good head on her shoulders It’s the rest of the family that is insane.
up next: i should just get rid of this one. The ADHD wants what it wants, and it doesn’t tell me until the very last minute. So I will let you know when I know. Until then, I got nothing. Happy reading!
