just finished: nothing. I’ve been reading, but I didn’t finish anything new recently.
currently reading: first of all, let me just say this is a big week. Our Tuesday is the new Finlay Donovan. This year, we only got our hands on the first 12 chapters, so I won’t be reviewing it this week. I have ordered the audio book, so I will be listening to the whole thing soon. I loved the first chapters. In this one, Vero has been arrested for stealing money from her sorority. Instead of standing her ground and facing the charges, she had run, and that’s when she had first met Finlay and started working for her. But when Vero stops answering her texts, calls, and emails, Finlay decides she has to go find her. And when she does, they have to investigate the theft and figure out who it was who stole the money, to get Vero back to her life with Finlay and Javi.
Also out on Tuesday is the new Benjamin Stevenson, Everyone in This Bank Is a Thief. I have been wanting to dive into this series since the beginning, so I was excited to get an early copy of this on audio. And I am loving it. Ernest Cunningham is writing this locked in a safe in the bank. There were several different heists going on, including his, since he inadvertently stole a pen. But there is so much more going on in the bank, and I can’t wait to hear more!
I’m also reading the upcoming Hawthorne and Horowitz book. A Deadly Episode. Ohhhh, it’s delicious! Fans of this series will really enjoy this one.
up next: Revel, a gorgeous cookbook about hosting from a woman who is a designer and calls herself a maximalist. The photography is stunning, and it’s filled with ideas for elevating meals small and big. I’ve just dipped a toe in so far, but it’s going to be so much fun to read.
