I did better last week, got 4 reviews written up. I still have 2 books to write up, but I will get there eventually, right? Lol.

currently reading: I’ve got a couple of books going on right now. I’m listening to Bad Asians, about a group of Asian friends who grew up together prepared for success only to hot the economic downturn of 2008. An internet video made them famous, and another one tore them apart. This novel is meaty, and I am hanging on to find out what happens next.

I’m also reading The Jills, a mystery about the cheerleaders for the Buffalo Bills football team. I thought it might be a light-hearted look at NFL cheerleaders behind the scenes, but this one has some grit to it. There are scary men, toxic exes, and more than a toe in the drug culture. There is a missing cheerleader, and we are in the investigation, trying to figure out if she just up and disappeared on her own, or if it had something to do with the rich guy she’s been dating recently, or if it’s about the drug dealer ex. This one is interesting if a little dark. I am looking forward to finding out what happened to this missing woman.

up next: This is a cozy week. New Ellie Alexander (The Whishing Hour) and new Jenn McKinlay (Booking for Trouble). After that, who knows? Lol. Happy reading!
