just finished: Most Eligible, a novel set in a Bachelor-type show called Love Shack. A woman goes on the show as a contestant to write a takedown of the producer. But when her one-night stand turns out to be the host, she finds herself in a far more challenging situation than she expected. This one is lots of fun. Perfect for fans of reality television.
currently reading: Dandelion Is Dead. Poppy and Dandelion are sisters. Dandelion has died, and Poppy is trying to move on. But when her phone is broken and she borrows Dandelion’s, she finds some messages in a dating app that speak to her. Despite being married, she pretends to be Dandelion and meets the guy. As time goes on, she has two lives and has to decide how to resolve her feelings about her relationships and about her sister’s death. I’m not too far into this one yet, but it’s interesting so far.
I’m also reading Meet the Newmans about a family who work together on a television show. On their sitcom, they are the perfect family. But in real life, there is a lot more going on in the family than they want the public to know about. Fans of 1950s and 1960s television shows will enjoy this one.
up next: new Alice Feeney, My Husband’s Wife. Have you watched His & Hers on Netflix yet? I haven’t, but I know it has a stellar cast. I want to watch it soon. I love Alice Feeney’s novels!
