Rock legends Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo aren’t interested in retiring. They want to keep rocking, even though they are now grandparents. And they have written a book about grandparents who rock.

And while they rock, literally, they understand that not all grandparents rock the same way they do. Some rock by singing or dancing, some by baking or teaching or working with computers. Some grandparents are still working and some are not, but their most important job is loving their grandkids.

My Grandma and Grandpa Rock! is a charming book about kids and their relationships with their grandparents. It doesn’t matter what they’re called or what they do with their time, a grandparent’s love is a special thing, and this book celebrated that. It’s all about the love they share.

With warm, colorful illustrations from Tiffany Everett, My Grandma and Grandpa Rock! proves that it’s never to late to express yourself, through music, through words, or through love.

I grew up in the ‘80s, and Pat Benatar was one of the voices of the soundtrack of my life. She has been inspiring me for decades, and I was excited to see that she had written a children’s book with her husband Neil Giraldo. This book is so sweet and fun, and while I don’t have grandchildren myself, I was still inspired by this book, and I know kids of all ages will enjoy revisiting that grandparent/grandchild relationship.
