just finished: new Sarah Pekkanen, The Locked Ward. It’s crazy. A woman is just out there, living her best life, running her bar, when she gets a phone call. There is a wealthy woman in a nearby city who is locked in the mental floor of a hospital. She was found over the dead body of her sister. And now she’s trying to reach out to the woman at the bar, saying that they’re sisters. Not just sisters, but twins. The bar owner had no idea she had a twin. Now she feels responsible for getting her sister off the locked ward and keep her out of prison. But if she really is a killer, can she be trusted?
currently reading: still reading Zomromcom by Olivia Dade. And things are crazy. If you love zombies, vampires, aliens, or rom coms, you should check this one out.
up next: I’ve been wanting to read some cookbooks lately, and this is one that I will get to soon. I am interested in finding out more about bowls, and I thought this would be good as I love a salad.
Let’s also talk about Mick Herron. He is the author of the books that the Apple+ show Slow Horses is based on. If you haven’t yet read them or watched the series, I highly recommend them. Well, He has another series that is about to be released as a series, Down Cemetery Road. This series is set in Oxford and follows a P.I. that I believe is being played by Emma Thompson. The series will be available in October, but the audio book for the book is releasing this week. I don’t know about you, but I will be spending some time in Oxford this week. And again in October (or, um, when football season lets up).
