clearly, I’m not getting much reading done these days. But I’m okay with that. Work is especially stressful these days, so I’m putting much of my energy into that and into sleeping better, which has been an issue this year.
I am hoping to review a few more books this year, as I am just 4 short of my yearly goal of 200. But I’m going to make promises. I do hope you all have a fantastic holiday season, whether you choose to celebrate by going out to parties, baking cookies, watching holiday movies with friends, or just hiding under the covers and watching Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason on your phone.
I may post again this year, or I may not. But remember this: reading is awesome. This year, instead of my re-reading the Bridget Jones books for the umpteenth time, I decided to watch the movies. And I am finding that most of my favorite scenes didn’t make the films. There are entire plot lines that are missing, and it’s just not the same. I love the movies. I thought the casting was fantastic. But there is so much more to laugh about and cry about in the books. If you’ve only ever watched the movies, you should read the books and meet the real Bridget Jones. It’s worth your time.
