I was hoping to get more than 3 books reviewed last week, but as I sat at the computer on Thursday night trying to write, I had no words in my head. And honestly, it’s possible this week will be similar. It depends on the work things. Regardless, I hope that you are carving out some time for good reading during this busy holiday season (audio books totally count!(.

just finished: The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year. Two American crime writers are invited to spend Christmas in the U.K. with one of the most celebrated thriller writers in the world. But shortly after they arrive, the grande dame of crime writing goes missing. As the Americans try to find her, they realize that someone had been trying to kill her for weeks. And they need to figure out who, and make sure that they do not succeed. It is a hoot, lots of Christmas fun in this one.

currently reading: The Christmas Cookie Wars, about a single mother of twin boys who wants to make this Christmas special for them, and for her, as they’re growing up. But when the town’s cookie festival is almost cancelled by a Grinch of a chairwoman, so Melody steps up to keep the festivities going. But that means she’s competing against the previous winner of the cookie competition, the handsome principal of her boys’ school, Melody finds herself with a very different Christmas than she was planning on.

I’m also still reading Rivals, about the ‘80s television rivals and their complicated lives. And also Believe, about the story to Ted Lasso. Vastly different books, but both really interesting. Watch for more Christmas books soon, as I have gotten far behind this year, but I have crushed my Goodreads goal for the year!
