just finished: nothing, but I’m close to finishing Curtis Sittenfeld’s Romantic Comedy because I’m having such a hard time putting it down. It’s amazing! You should definitely look for it in stores Tuesday.
currently reading: Well, if I were to say to you that tomorrow is Just another Manic Monday. Wish it was Sunday. That’s my Fun Day. My I Don’t Have to Run Day, when I can just stay at home and read a book, OR, if I were the one singing this song, it could be I can just stay at home and Write a Book, because, yes!, Susannna Hoffs has written a novel! This Bird Has Flown is also out Tuesday, and while I haven’t gotten very far yet in the new novel from the frontwoman of The Bangles, I can already tell that it’s something special. I have also started reading the latest in the Phoebe and Her Unicorn Adventure, Punk Rock Unicorn, which is fantastic, of course. I’ve also got some audio books that I’ve been listening to, No One Will Miss Her, a chilling thriller by Kat Rosenfield, and the heart-warming The Secret Life of Albert Entwistle by Matt Cain.
up next: I won The Three of Us in a Goodreads giveaway, and I’m really looking forward to reading it. Out in mid-May from G.P. Putnam’s Sons, this is described with phrases like “sharp domestic comedy of manners” and “subversively comical,” so you know I have to read this one! Thanks, Putnam and Goodreads!
